OVERVIEW:

Fieldbus is gradually replacing 4 to 20 mA standard instrumentation signals used to transfer measurement and control data between control room and plant floor (Protocol). It is one of several local area networks dedicated for industrial automation. This class aims to introduce the principles of operations, maintenance techniques, basic troubleshooting techniques and thorough understanding of overall design concepts of Fieldbus. Participants will have hands-on experience with Field bus and carry out demo projects on live Fieldbus network as well as simulators. The class training will be complemented by class workshops, discussion on industry best practices and ISA videos on Fieldbus. Students will be issued a certificate at the end of the training.

TRAINING FOR:

Ø Instrumentation, Control& Automations Engineers who are planning to purchase a control system, Fieldbus.
Ø Instrumentation, electricity, maintenance, and computer engineers who are evaluating process control systems, Fieldbus, and maintenance management systems for purchase or who will be in charge of installing these systems.

PREREQUISITES:

GIL175 (Automation 101) or equivalent relevant experience.

GIL 165 (Instrumentation & Process Control) or equivalent relevant experience.
