OVERVIEW:

Emergency shutdown of process plant is one of the major preventive and safety measures adopted over the years by chemical and manufacturing companies to guide against major loss in accident and maintenance situations of process Plants. This training is aimed at understanding the needs and means of achieving Emergency Shutdown in process plants

  • Ø  Manual and automatic Actuation
  • Ø Advantages of manual and automatic actuations
  • Ø Design consideration for Remote operated shut off valves (ROSOV).

At the end of the course, participants will be able to: 

  • Ø Identify and explain the various emergency shutdown systems in process plants
  • Ø What to be considered in designing Remote operated shutdown valves.
  • Ø Know the advantages of Auto and manual actuations.
  • Ø Say which actuation system is best for which location.
  • Ø Answer some questions about emergency shutdown systems.
  • Ø Observe safe practices in dealing with process lines.
