Description

One Transmitter Platform. Flexible Gas Detection.

The Honeywell XNX Universal Transmitter provides a common platform for industrial gas detection using compatible electrochemical, infrared and catalytic bead sensing technologies. Its flexible configuration options help simplify integration with gas monitoring controllers, PLCs and supported Honeywell gas detection equipment.

Designed for System Integration

XNX supports standard 4–20 mA wiring and HART communication, with additional communication and relay options depending on the selected configuration. Compatible equipment includes Honeywell Searchline Excel and Optima gas detectors.

Key Features

  • Supports compatible electrochemical, infrared and catalytic bead gas sensors.
  • 4–20 mA output with HART communication for integration and diagnostics.
  • Optional MODBUS communication and relay configurations with up to three relays.
  • LCD display for local indication.
  • Aluminium or stainless-steel enclosure options with marine-grade coating.
  • Five threaded ports, available in metric or NPT versions.
  • Local or remote sensor installation with the appropriate compatible accessories.
  • A common platform designed to simplify training and maintenance across supported sensing technologies.

Industrial Applications

The XNX range supports gas monitoring applications in oil and gas, chemical processing, wastewater and other industrial environments. Gas coverage, measuring range and installation suitability depend on the connected detector or sensor and the selected transmitter configuration.

Configuration Matters

Confirm the required sensor compatibility, housing, cable entries, communications, relay options and hazardous-area approvals against the exact part number and current technical documentation. Temperature limits depend on the sensor. This listing describes the XNX range and does not specify a single orderable configuration; sensor inclusion must be confirmed in the quotation.
